1) Building R&M Team Leader

If you consider yourself a handy person, this position is for you.  The office will report repair and maintenance needs to the team lead, who would either manage the task or delegate as needed. Or, if there is a task below that you can help with now, please let us know. Jobs usually can be tended to on your schedule.

2) Repairs & Maintenance

Seasonal:

In the Spring & Summer moths usual building and property maintenance will be required: lawns and weeds need to be maintained, gutters cleaned, siding pressure washed.

Some of our current needs include:

Snow and ice removal - Sunday mornings.

A volunteer would arrive no later than 9:20 am on Sundays to check for and clear snow and ice from the walkway and stairs.

Window frame repair.

Have you noticed? We have at least one window that keeps falling open during the service.  It's an old style and needs a little handy person TLC.

Light replacements.

Simply this.  There are a few burnt out lights at CMC that need a handyperson with a ladder, to replace.

Build and install a railing.

We are looking for a volunteer to build a railing, for our dear tenants next door. With the wet weather, a railing is needed for the outdoor steps leading to the deck.  If you have the skills and are available to offer your time, please contact Kelly.

Siding repair.

At Crossroads' rental house, vinyl siding needs a little TLC.

3) Rental Property Manager.

The person volunteering for this position would be available for the occasional call from tenants to address needs, correspond with the facilities team for property maintenance, arrange rental renewal agreements and coordinate placing new tenants if ever needed.

4) Facility Cleaning.

Weekly cleaning of Crossroads Ministry Center.  Flexible hours, requiring 2-4hrs per week.

5) Volunteer with Crossroads Kids.

Sunday School Teacher: You are the main teacher for the older kids. On the Wednesday prior to your volunteer Sunday, you will receive an email with the lesson plan. Everything will be provided and set up in the classroom on Sunday morning (including a copy of the lesson, lesson materials, and craft supplies).

Sunday School Helper: You assist in the main Sunday school room, helping the teacher lead the class and connect with the kids.

Nursery Volunteer: You provide oversight to the youngest of those who make up our congregation. The nursery/toddlers room will be set up for you every week, and it is your role to ensure the younger kids are safe and cared for.

6) Sunday Production Team.

Volunteers on this team are trained in any one or more of the following positions, to provide in-person and online worship services to our community. Once trained, the volunteer position is generally once per month.

Audio Engineer - this person works directly with the worship team and speakers, is responsible for connecting the mics and running the audio board throughout the service.

Projectionist - this person is responsible for loading song lyrics and videos to the church laptop, setting up the projector and playing videos and lyrics as needed throughout the service.  Listening to or knowing the songs in advance is helpful.

Camera Operator - this person sets up and operates the cameras recording the worship and message and returns the equipment to the production booth after the service.

Video Director - this person cues up the online service to our streaming platform and switches the camera angles during the service, while communicating with the camera operator.
